Macit Bitargil 1980 yılında Antakya’da doğmuştur. İlkokul ve lise eğitimini Antakya’da tamamlamış ve okul birincisi olarak mezun olmuştur. 1997 yılında İstanbul’a gelerek tıp fakültesinde doktorluk eğitimine başlamış, mezuniyette yüksek onur ödülüne laik görülmüştür. Tıp fakültesinden birincilik ile mezun olduktan sonra uzmanlık eğitimini İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi Kalp ve Damar Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalı’nda 2006-2012 yılları arasında tamamlamıştır. Mezuniyet tezi Türk Tabipler Birliği tarafından yapılan tez yarışmasında Türkiye birincilik ödülüne layık görülmüştür.
