Hareketli İnsörtlü Total Diz Protezi Uygulaması

Although contemporary knee prosthesis have proven reliability and efficacy in treatment of knee osteoarthritis, to overcome wear and aseptic loosening have being carried on. Mobile bearing knee prosthesis aimed to minimize aseptic loosening due to reducing torsional forces on bone implant surface by allowing unconstrained axial rotation. Also thought that increased conformity between femoral condyle and polyethylene will alleviate contact stress on PE and therefore would prevent wear. One of the advantages of mobile bearing designs is simulating tibia-femoral and patella femoral alignment most appropriately by allowing tibial self-rotation. Functional outcomes of 150 knee osteoarthritis patients underwent TKA with mobile bearing knee prosthesis in our clinic between 2003-2011 were analyzed retrospectively. 90 patients with a mean 4 years of follow-up were enrolled in this study. 10 patients denoted their dissatisfaction due to residual knee pain, 2 patients needed revision for aseptic loosening and 1 patient received antibiotic treatment and debridement for superficial infection. At long term follow-up mobile bearing designs showed no functional superiority over fixed bearing implants.
