Prof. Dr. Mustafa Akkaya, 12 Mayıs 1985 tarihinde İstanbul’da dünyaya gelmiştir. Eğitim hayatının ilk yıllarını Ankara’da tamamladıktan sonra 2009 yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun olmuştur. Mezuniyetinin ardından aynı yıl Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji alanında asistanlık eğitimine başlamıştır.
