Hello I have a ganglion on my left arm’s wrist and it began to cause pain in the wrist and arm. I went to a doctor and he said he would do a surgery to remove it, and when I asked him to do an aspiration, he refused to do it. Is it a good idea to do an aspiration to get rid of it? If yes, I would book an appointment to come and see you.
I also don’t aspirate ganglion cysts. Because they will refill with the joint fluid in the next few days. However, if the cyst is small, Corticosteroid injections may decrease the pain caused by the cyst. The actual treatment of a cyst, which is causing pain that interferes with daily activities, is removal.
Hi Mr Obaji, Wish you a swift recovery
