Prof.Dr.Makbule Eren, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde başlamış olduğu lisans eğitimini başarı ile tamamlayarak Tıp doktoru unvanı almıştır. Prof.Dr.Makbule Eren, ihtisasını ve üst ihtisasını Hacettepe Üniversitesi’nde tamamlayıp Çocuk Gastroentoloji, Hepatoloji ve Beslenme Uzmanı olmuştur. 2020 yılından itibaren İstinye Üniversitesi'nde öğretim üyesidir.
